Pyrheliometer Mount and Shading Arm Assembly for Active Solar Tracker

The Middleton Active Solar Tracking System pictured below is fitted with the optional PM01 Pyrheliometer Mount, and optional SA01-M Shading Arm Assembly.

The PM01 Mount is shown with one DN5 pyrheliometer attached. The mount can accommodate a total of three pyrheliometers. Adjusting thumb-screws are provided so each pyrheliometer can be individually aimed.

The SA01-M is shown with two EQ08 pyranometers attached. The sensor of the rear instrument is always automatically shaded by the articulated arm and measures diffuse solar global radiation. The optional front mount is for an unshaded pyranometer to measure total global (direct + diffuse) radiation.

Other instruments, such as the SP02 Sunphotometer, can attach directly to the tracker horizontal axle.
